NAMSSA ADVISORY: Future Supermoto Ronds shall garner points towards Supermtoo Rider of the Year 2016 as Philippine Champion
2016 NAMSSA PHILIPPINE SUPERMOTO CHAMPIONSHIP
To all friends of NAMSSA, The National Motorcycle Sports & Safety Association will be launching the NAMSSA Philippine SUPERMOTO Championship which will coincide with the Road Masters GP scheduled to be held this coming 17th of July 2016 at the Tarlac Circuit Hills, Tarlac Recreational Park, San Jose, Tarlac.
This and other national Supermoto events will be the pre-qualifying events to be issued for future namssa supermoto licenses
Here are the basic requirements and guidelines for Supermoto athletes/Riders who wishes to participate in the said national event.
1. Participating athlete's/Rider's age requirement is 15 to 50 yrs. old. The age of a rider is determined on what age he is on January 1 of the racing season and carried out through that year. For proof of birth parents are suppose to bring passport &/or authenticated NSO copy of birth Certificate.
2. All foreign riders should have the Entry Forms endorsed by their respective FMNs or should produce a “Start Permission” from their respective FMN upon Registration. Together with these stating that the said rider is in possession of the valid FIM Insurance requirements.
3. Eligibility of Motorcycle This class is open to motorcycles with the maximum displacement of;
a. 450cc for single cylinder four strokes b. 250cc for single cylinder four strokes c. 250cc for single cylinder two strokes
4. Riders are allowed to use motocross gears provided that the rider is equipped chest/back protector, elbow and Knee guard, full cut gloves , motocross boots and DOT-SNELL approved helmets or leather racing suit.
5. Supermoto type tires of any brand/manufacturer shall be used. Off-road tires are strictly "NOT ALLOWED". All dry tires are to possess a DOT rating, all tires are suppose to be of groove type pattern, no hand cut tires permitted. Tires permitted for the National series shall have the following conditions:
• Tires that posses a DOT (or any speed rating that meets or exceeds DOT speed ratings) or and E with a circle around of which is valid for street use (production tire) and not for racing purposes only • No slick tires permitted, all tires are suppose to have a groove pattern and no hand cut tires permitted, the words not for highway use should NOT appear on the tire wall • Rain Tires are open, but only permitted when wet race is declared • The V speed rating and for the tires and above is permitted.
6. Side View Mirrors, auxiliary steps, side and center stands must be removed. 7. Motorcycles must be equipped with a functional ignition kill switch (within reach of hands while hand grips). 8. Turn signals, horns, head and tail lights must be removed but if not possible to remove, said lighting and signal devices must be covered and secured with an adhesive tape. 9. On-Board camera is allowed. However On-board radio transceivers are not allowed. 10. For a class to be opened there must be a minimum of 5 riders in the class, if not lower class is upgraded to next higher class. 11. Top 3 winners will be subjected to scrutineering. 12. The race track is open for practice on Saturdays but practice fee shall be at rider's cost.
ENTRY/REGISTRATION FEE:
Entry Fee is PHP 1,500.00 inclusive of One Event Namssa License. Registration of entries will be on-site at the race day (17 July 2016).
PRIZES AT STAKE:
1ST PLACE - 5,000.00 + TROPHY 2ND PLACE - 3,000.00 + TROPHY 3RD PLACE - 2,000.00 + TROPHY
To meet the above stated cash prizes, there should be a minimum of seven (7) participating entries. However, if participating entries are below seven riders, cash prize scale will be modified/re-computed.
